Ms. Rakshitha Prem has revealed in an interview that the release of her first production may well be on 12th August or even on 19th August. It is said that Chandru Dashavara who is a trusted aide of Prem has also been telling the Kannada film fans on telephone that the film will indeed hit the screens on August 12.
But sources in the film industry circles say that the film’s release date is still uncertain. ” It can not be confirmed in definite terms that the film will be releasing on 19th August’ says a film industry source as the factual information about the completion of 3D work and graphics is still not available even at the time of uploading this information.
The delayed release of Jogayya has affected the morale and confidence of the distributors as now the chances of getting a humongous opening for the film is in doubt. The Holiday period after the festival day should have really ensured a big opening for the film.
Another point of concern is that there are too many non Kannada big budget films that are likely to hit the screens after August 12 which may also affect the marketability of Jogayya. The theater owners may not shell out huge advances for the film which is likely to be released in a non Holiday period, though the Ganesha Gowri festival Holiday period is also expected to help the consolidation of Jogayya from the third week.
But one thing is certain. It appears Prem has told many of his distributors that he is sure that the film will get released on 19th August and has even advised them to make any arrangements for release.
Since Prem is in regular touch with all his distributors and even booking theaters in various districts for the film his assertion can be taken seriously.
A well known distributor who has acquired the rights for some areas says that Prem has confirmed the release date as 19th August. He also confirmed that the the Chennai based sound and graphics engineers who are giving final touches of their work to enable the making of the film’s first print have been speaking very highly about the film, particularly in the second half which can be compared to any hugely budgeted star studded films made in other languages.
Prem is believed to have assured all his distributors that Jogayya is sure to touch the hearts of the audience as in Jogi. “The film’s 3D fights and songs will certainly make the audience to sit erected and watch with great curiosity’ Prem is believed to have told his distributors.
The shooting schedules of ‘Jogayya’, which is Century Star Shivaraj Kumar’s 100th film, is complete. This film is directed by Prem, the last schedule of the shooting has been completed at Muththeththi. When the shooting was over in the afternoon, the producer of the film Ms. Prem Rakshitha arranged a sumptuous feast for all the members of the production unit. Friends and well wishers of the producer were also present in this occasion. A song was picturised in Mysore followed by some patch work which was completed in Mysore Zilla Panchayat office and Sandesh Hotel.
The music tracks of the film will be released on 24th April. Hari Krishna has composed scintillating music which has raised great expectations for the album. It is expected that the post production work will commence in May first week and it will be completed in a span of three months. Rumours are floating in studio circles that Prem will take sufficient time to complete the nitty-gritty of the film so that the film can be released on the Vara Mahalakshmi festival day. It is to be noted here that the previous film Jogi was also released on the same day.
Shivaraj Kumar participated on the last day’s shooting of the film and on Tuesday morning, he left for Hubli by air so as to take part in the 100 day celebrations of his 99th film ‘Mylari’. It is a matter of pride and pleasure for Shivaraj Kumar that the film ‘Mylari’ has completed 100 days run in as many as six centres.
Jogayys Songs are composed by the most popular Kannada music director V Harikrishna, directed by successful Kannada director Prem, starring Hatrick Hero Shivraj Kumar.
